The junction between roll body and roll diameter is the place where stress concentration is concentrated and the weak link of roll strength. The roll diameter and the roll body must be properly grounded.
The quality requirement of rolling mill rolls is very high because it determines the quality of rolling mill work, productivity and output quality. Considering the complex working conditions of rolls, high strength cast steel rolls, forged steel rolls and high strength cast iron rolls are used for rolling mill rolls.
